“I actually started working on this map shortly after making a jungle river one and using the same style. I wanted to do something with a waterfall and some sort of encounter that centered around the pool below it. I then got slightly over focused on recolouring a small number of rock assets and put it aside always meaning to return to it. When I come back to a map after a break, I often find finishing it off is then really quick and easy and this map was like that. Perhaps my favourite version is the night one with the lit braziers – I stumbled across the swirling magical circle asset and that really inspired the concept of some in-progress ritual happening in the middle of the pool.”
