  • The Sanctum of Xibalba Battle Map

Snaking, subterranean tunnels beneath a jungle ruin. What treasures lay buried here?

This dungeon is Connor’s latest creation, designed as an exciting part 2 to his Ruins of Xibalba from last month! The Ruins feature two entrances: the spiral staircase and the statue’s mouth. These lead to the Sanctum’s two central stairs respectively.

From the landing, your players have two wings to explore, but both are fraught with spiked pit traps and boulders… There are helpful secrets to be found also: secret pathways, rooms, and chests filled with ancient treasure.

What is behind the large southern door? I’m afraid that’ll be a separate, upcoming map! In the meantime, you might connect it to one of our others – this Ritual Room perhaps?

This dungeon has traps in abundance, but what about enemies? We’d love to hear your ideas, so please share them below! 🙂

  1. I'm working on my first homebrew campaign and plan on using this as a base for the villains of the current story line. I plan on having an evil druid cult lurking in the ruins. Planning on heading it up with a upgraded higher CR Blight Druid. Plan on using the "Buried Temple" battle map as the location for the final fight, which will be connected to the south side of the map.
