  • The Ruins of Xibalba Battle Map

A ruin overgrown by jungle, but its ancient mechanisms still function…

This map represents the first piece of Connor Johnston‘s new project: set deep in some tropical jungle stands a large stone structure said to be the entrance to a frightful place…

Included in this Part 1 is the jungle-framed exterior ruin, a snake-head with gleaming eyes, and overlays for the two potential entryways.

What exactly must your players do to find these entryways? We hope you’ll brainstorm with us in the comments, actually! 😉

Xibalba means “place of fright” according to Wikipedia, and is the underworld of Maya mythology. We hope you enjoy our first battle map set in Mesoamerica! Connor’s working on an interior dungeon as I speak, so we hope you’ll wait in anticipation for next month. 🙂
