  • Fairy-Tale Village & Tavern by Olette

This Community Spotlight is by Olette, a valued member of our Patreon community with some serious mapping skills. Their map is of a fairy-tale village created for their high-magic campaign setting, featuring buildings roofed with bamboo steaming pots!

The village itself is 36×40 and includes a 9×9 interior map for the dim sum basket homes. Olette has also gifted us with a mushroom-themed tavern, perfectly complementing our recently released Mushroom Village Interior packs.

Where might such an enchanting village find its place in your campaign world?

From Olette:

I’m creating this high magic realm for a medium arc in the campaign. It is a realm full of wonder, where the waterfall flows to the sky. The plants grow weird looking flowers, when they bloom, the flowers give birth to animals (bats, birds, etc). The magic is very thick in the air they can almost touch it. And the trees are watching their every step.

So in this setting, I also want to make the villages and cities special, it should be something unusual and spark wonder to the players. It should be magical and close to nature, pretty and looks like coming from a fairytale.

This is the first village they visited when they arrived to the realm (I call the realm: Roulimar.. yes I took the name from 2MT hahaha).
