  • Adventurers Watchtower by Cypirate

Cypirate is back, this time to share their fully-furnished, multi-level watchtower!

The Adventurers Watchtower map consists of a basement, 4 floors, and a roof, each on a 10×10 canvas. Every level is carefully decorated, strategically cluttered, and filled with character. There’s also a grassy 22×33 base map!

Each floor has a visual story to tell about its occupant. Which one would suit your character(s) best? Do they inspire a new NPC, perhaps? Read on to find out who Cypirate built them for…

Check out Cypirate’s Instagram page if you’re interested in what else they’re up to – there’s some nice token art to be found!

Adventurers Watchower - Base - 22x33 - Preview

From Cypirate:

“Following our group first few successful missions, we were awarded an old watchtower just outside the capital city of Hammersgart by the local King. This was to serve as our party’s base of operation and as such some renovations were in order!

I discussed mapping it out and our DM encouraged personalising it as much as we wanted to I got to have little chats with the other players to make sure it best fit their characters. We rolled to see who would get each floor and then i got started!

Starting up top, just below the simple watch floor, my mutant bloodhunter got to claim the room that came with an adjoining library study space that he converted into his potion and alchemy room. Other than that, he is one to keep simple comforts so a selection of classic furniture is all he needed to be happy.

Below him lives our druid, who’s room of course reflects her lush connection to nature with many plants growing and almost overtaking the space, the large monstera leaves drooping over the bed protectively while her large book collection lies scattered all over.

On the first floors resides our paladin, and with her noble upbringing, she wouldn’t feel at home unless she got to bring her canopy bed along with her large hot bath, vanity, and small workshop to keep her weapons and armour in top shape.

The ground floor serves as a communal area, housing the kitchen and a large dining table used as a war room nearly as often as an impromptu parlour for unexpected guests.

Last but not least, in the basement, we can store some essential goods, fetch water from the well or lock up brigands for interrogation. A recent new addition to our group, the warlock is having to make do with the dark cellar until we get him properly set up but at least he’s happy to have drinks on hand.”
