Hey folks! Just letting you know that I’ve made Tabletop Simulator modules for Stride By Stride and Street By Street, so if you own Tabletop Simulator on Steam, head on over to the Steam Workshop page, subscribe to the modules, and invite some friends!

Don’t have Tabletop Simulator? Let me give you a quick pitch: It’s a virtual environment for playing board games and war games over the internet. It has VR support, but it works just fine with mouse and keyboard as well. It is not a game on its own, but thanks to its dedicated community of modders there’s a huge selection of games available on the Steam Workshop, in addition to the official DLC made by a ton of board game publishers.

Wargame terrain and armies? There are modules for that. Trading card games? Most of them are there. You can even load in a 360 photo of a Wendy’s location to use as a background for your games, allowing you to live out the dream of playing The Dark Souls Board Game in the middle of a fast food joint without getting kicked out after 30 minutes for loitering.

Installing Steam Workshop Modules

Open up Steam, go to your Library and find Tabletop Simulator:

Click on “Community Hub,” then go to the Workshop tab:

Scroll down to “Search Tabletop Simulator,” type “Stride by Stride” or “Street by Street” and hit Enter, and they should be the first results.

Click on the thumbnail or title, and then once it loads, click Subscribe here:

Give it a few seconds to download, launch Tabletop Simulator, and create a new game. Then, click on the blue “Workshop” icon on the left and look for Stride By Stride or Street By Street. If they are the most recent things you’ve downloaded, they should be right near the start, like this:

Click on the thumbnail, click load, and there you go, you’ve got a set up for your game of choice right in front of you, like so:

Click “Open” on that dialogue box, or the tablet won’t load the Stride by Stride rules.

There’s tons and tons of stuff on the Steam Workshop, and I highly recommend taking a browse through it some time.

The Street By Street module has notecard character sheets, tokens with the vehicles and job information on them, and the race course deck pre-loaded. The Stride By Stride module comes with the race schedules and event listings for all three settings in the bags on the left side of the table.
