This desert scene is of Connor Johnston‘s design, skillfully depicting scorching sand and sun-baked structures on a generously-sized grid.

The map is 44×32 – as large as they come – and is dominated by an oval racing track of white sand. There is a border of desert scenery, stone-carved, grandstands, and on the inside of the track is a great building incorporating flat and domed rooftops.

Will you challenge your players to participate in the race, or merely use it as a backdrop for another sort of encounter? We’d love to hear about what you come up with in the comments!
