Wizarding School Courtyard battle map - Main preview

This is Crunkle’s newest addition to our (still very new) Wizarding School collection! As it says on the tin, it’s a courtyard. If I were a student of magic, this is where you’d find me.

We hope that this will be a nice general-use map for you, magic-school-campaign or no, as it could just as easily be the courtyard of a lord, vampire count, or 18th century merchant. Perhaps all of the above!

We are having a blast with this theme. What would you like to see next? We’ve got a lot of ideas already, but always welcome more! And do you have plans for this map? I’m ravenously curious to hear them! Please share them in the comments below. 🙂

  1. OOOh, so cool! A perfect fit for a battle that may or may not take place in the magical desert city my party are currently staying at.

  2. You develop some wonderful assets, and I like your monologs. I can tell you are a great DM. I really like the Wizards Courtyard.

As for requests, I use Roll20.com and unfortunately their map size is extremely limited. Most of the materials you produce will not fit. I think it's cool that you produce some larger maps, and those would have been great when I played in-person around a large table. However, in these COVID days, I play virtually, and could really use smaller maps. If you ever do a survey, you might want to ask how many people use Roll20.

    1. That’s odd, all the maps in JPG format are well below the max size permitted by Roll20. A free Roll20 account has 100MB storage and a max upload of 5MB size. This map is 2.89MB, so even with a free account you can absolutely upload this map there! They started offering these bigger maps because a lot of folk were using the maps on Roll20 and other VTTs and complaining about how small the maps were, so they switched to bigger ones.

That said, you can try re-saving it with TinyJPG if you wanna lower the size of the file further!
