  • The MOONLIT CATHEDRAL Battle Map

Astonishingly tall ceilings enclose a sacred cathedral.

This is Rootyful’s latest creation: a 26×52(!) cathedral interior with a sublime atmosphere.

The dark hall is lit only by moonlight filtered through stained glass, offering just enough light to make out the unsettling details in the statue-work.

I especially enjoy the spotlight created in the center of the room – it’s the perfect place for your BBEG to stand menacingly, or as the focal point for whatever encounter you cook up yourself!

Oh, and did I mention that this map has two levels? Indeed, there’s a whole ‘Rafters’ layer! Perfect for assassins to leap from, or spies to perch in. I hope you can tie this layer in in some interesting way. 🙂

Looking for a different vibe? Our $5 Plus Pack comes with the following additions:

  • Three more map variants, each with and additional Pew and Rafter sub-variants
    – Blood Moon. An apocalyptic light shines into a crumbling church
    – Overgrown. A grand cathedral left mysteriously abandoned
    – Sanctuary. A magnificent hall filled with light and song
  • 99 extracted map assets depicting statues, rafters, and stained glass

The Checkpoint Battle Map

Checkpoint is perhaps my new favorite battle map. I knew I wanted to make a multi-layered structure, but it was too simple to make a cut out set piece, so how should I portray elevation? I decided to try long shadows cast by a rising/setting sun, and I am overjoyed with the results. As well
