  • The JAPANESE CLASSROOM Battle Map

A staple map for all sorts of anime-inspired tabletop role-playing!

This 22×16 map is of a simple classroom – inspired by Japanese schools, but close enough to other modern classrooms around the globe to give me a jolt of nostalgia too!

On one side is a section of hallway, and on the other two-thirds is an upsized classroom populated with desks, chairs, blackboard, and all of your other typical furnishings.

This map really aims for “everyday” – a safe place to start and end an episode in!

Our pay-what-you-want base back has a Day and Afternoon variant, as seen above, to cover the full breadth of school operating hours.

First time on 2-Minute Tabletop? Please feel free to grab this one for free and try it out!

Want to support our map-making efforts and get a load of extras? This map’s variants expand the possibilities dramatically:

  • Four 22×16 map variants each with Day and Night sub-variants:
    • Modern. An orderly classroom to visit in-between adventures.
    • Abandoned. A curse has claimed this school – tread carefully…
    • Lab. It’s Bunsen burner time!
    • Retro. An orderly classroom… from decades past.
  • 90 extracted assets depicting classroom furnishings from various classrooms – also packaged for Dungeondraft!

We had a load of fun making this, and hope you and your friends enjoy it too!

  1. make a map for one recently and realised I was lacking enough assets to make it work.

As for anime-inspired maps, I think more modern maps in general would be really cool! Like, if we're talking anime-inspired, imagine one at the famous Shibuya Crossing? (or inspired by it at least)

Or on the academic subject, lecture rooms like ones you'd find at a university instead of a classroom could be cool, given the typical sloped layout of some of those rooms and how it's a generally large space.

Thank you for your service by the way! I often try to purchase your assets when I'm able due to how much use they are to me when I make maps for my friends' campaigns or myself!

  2. Lol when I got the email about this map I was curious what it would be to represent anime.

Well done. I expect some character to longingly look out the window in the back of the classroom.

  3. The Openings of Mushoku Tensei are dialogue free scenes and vistas of their fantasy worlds. A supercut of those would be excellent map fodder
