An evocative isometric dungeon with five iron-barred cells.
This map represents Rootyful’s first exploration into isometric maps. Admittedly, the perspective isn’t very space-efficient and often makes floor planning much more complex, but the trouble is often worth it for the immersion it enables. Just look at those walls! The sense of depth! The table legs!
This small prison is either situated underground or in a windowless, brick-built stronghold. It’s a fitting place for a defeated party to end up, or perhaps you might use it as the opening scene of session 1.
If your VTT of choice doesn’t officially support it, you can actually adapt a hexagonal grid into an isometric one. Check out my guide here:
We plan to do an isometric map only every now and then. What do you think of it? Oh, and let us know what adventures you and your players get up to here in the comments! Hope you enjoy. 🙂
