The perfect battle map for a classic “stumble upon a dark ritual in progress” encounter! (Fair maiden not included)

When I remember to, I try and offer various sources of cover and elevation in my tactical maps. In this one, the chaotic pillars serve as cover against spells flung by occultic inititiates, or a vantage point for the party ranger. Perhaps they will be toppled during the battle. Perhaps the (literal) pit fiend will join the fray?

Whatever happens, we can count on at least one “This is Sparta” reference.
