Hello everyone! I have another pack for you that falls into the category of boring to look at but highly functional. This is the Grass & Roads pack, which includes several seamless ground textures and a bunch of assets to lay roads with. I’ve also included PDFs for the base textures, for those of you who want a grassy base for the game board.

The easiest way to use these to create a custom map is to open up your image editor and lay down three layers of grass, dirt, and paving. Next, use layer masks or selection deletes to define your simple layout of roads and dirt, like so:

After that, grab the rest of the assets and use them to border your base layer. Sprinkle in cobble and dirt patches to taste, and you have a solid map:

My last tip is to add some drop shadows to your buildings and throw some shadow and light gradients down over the ground layer. This will help everything pop. After these steps you’ll have something like our banner image at the top of this post.
