  • The Mimic’s Grid Kickstarter

“It looks like a simple square grid-map for your table, right? Looks can be deceiving. The Mimic’s Grid is a versatile game surface that enables infinite world building through unique features and modular construction.”

I have been collaborating with the Cursed Crypt team to start the Mimic’s Grid Kickstarter, which I can finally share it with you all.

I’ll leave the talking to the Kickstarter page but in short, Mimic’s Grid is an “any-erase, no-stain, magnetic game tile.” If all goes well with the Kickstarter I hope to craft a huge collection of magnetic tiles, textures and props utilizing these magical magnets. If that sounds like something you want to see, please consider making a pledge!

You can do so and read all about the Mimic’s Grid on the Kickstarter page. Enjoy:

The Checkpoint Battle Map

Checkpoint is perhaps my new favorite battle map. I knew I wanted to make a multi-layered structure, but it was too simple to make a cut out set piece, so how should I portray elevation? I decided to try long shadows cast by a rising/setting sun, and I am overjoyed with the results. As well

Speed Drawing the Dragon’s Lair Burrow

Today I finish up the three-part Dragon’s Lair battle map set. Watch the shoulder-cam of the drawing, and the screencap of the painting (minus some corrupted footage, sadly). Enjoy!
