The Wicked Woods

Woods awash with fog, the obvious place to find a lingering spirit, druid gathering, or similar encounter.

These moody woods are the result in another adventure in line-less color-only maps. I wanted to make something natural, vibrant, and dramatic, and this spooky glade is the result.

The fog and trees here encircle what is functionally an arena, so gather your players and bust out your best boss fight! Be it natural creatures infuriated by the corruption, or chaotic creatures encroaching on nature, there’s plenty from the Monster Manual that can fit here. Alternatively, it’s a decent place to plane-shift into the Feywild!

I’m picturing pissed off dryads going full rage mode, more like Skyrim spriggans than D&D’s peaceful protector dryads.

I think I’m going to used it in a forest where things have gone wrong. I will use the green one to setup the “before” while I tell the player they’re feeling something unpleasant, then shift to the orange one, describe the rocks starting to float and let the mayhem begin.
