This week’s addition to the Castle Collection is the formidable Castle Gatehouse, which is just begging for a siege!
A moat, a drawbridge, two gates and two portcullis stand between this castle and the hostilities outside – not to mention the murder holes with rocks, burning oil, and arrows slung through them! Despite this, the gatehouse is often the weakest point in a castle wall, and often finds itself the focus of a siege.
All this said, there’s plenty of fun for your average adventuring party to have too, especially in a stealth-focused group! There’s a hefty reward waiting for those who might raise the portcullis in the night, or take out the guard captain sleeping on the third floor, or sabotage the many layers of gates…
