The 2-Minute Token Editor is my tool for creating custom tokens for virtual tabletops (but you’re also welcome to print them!)
It is a constant work in progress and may not work perfectly or on all browsers. If you encounter a bug, have a suggestion, or would like to leave any feedback at all, please leave a comment on this page!
Using the 2-Minute Token Editor
I’ve made every effort to make the Token Editor simple and straightforward. Please refer to these steps if you run into any difficulties:
- Use the color select buttons and the color picker to custom-paint your virtual token.
- Changing the color of a group header will change all of its components to match.
- Right Click and Save the token when you are satisfied with the color palette.
- You can then drag-and-drop it into a Roll20 scene, or use it with your VTT of choice.

Hi, I’m Ross! I made this tool with a little help along the way.
You can support me and its continued development by purchasing one of the pre-colored token pack from my gallery below or can find me on Patreon. Thank you, you generous such-and-such!

Hey Ross,
first of all: nice work you do here 🙂
Because of the COVID we decide to play online in our Dark Eye round and use Roll20. Via facebook i found your link to your site for selfcreation tokens, my questen is now: do you have a tool for adding weapons too?
And sorry for the bad english, but its not my nativ language ;D
Best regards
Stephen Seus
Thanks Stephen! Not yet, but I’m working on a way to add weapons and other features. 🙂
Dear Ross,
I’m working on creating a campaign to publish, and your tokens are amazing. What are the copyright issues with your 2 minute tokens? Would it be ok to put them into a published module? Is there a deal that could be worked out?
Thanks!
It all depends on the project, but I’m always interested. Please contact me from the contact form and we can figure it out. 🙂
What if tokens are made using your token creator?
We retain the copyright no matter the coat of paint. 😉
Really cool job! congrats.
Kevin (Keterelyon), from France.
These are great!!! I really like the first run of character tokens (where you look at their back) any plans on doing more like this?
Thanks! It’s possible that I will, but my focus is definitely on the front-facing ones now. 🙂
Ross, this token-creator feels like huge strides towards a tool I’ve been hoping would come into being for years now! I’m very much looking forward to how it develops. Weapons/magical foci (staves etc.) would be a great addition. Also perhaps a tooltip identifying the race or class of the various tokens already available?
Love your art and style!
Thanks! Working on all those things. 🙂
Loving your work, Ross. We’re currently playing a Star Wars campaign, so more sci-fi stuff would be great.

Bug: Tooltips for “Help” and “Tools” (top right corner) are swapped.
I will test the product in an adventure I am writing. It appears that the top view will help me in the adventure.
Your work is amazing. Finally was able to contribute at least a little for all the content you have created. Your creations figure PROMINENTLY in my upcoming campaign!
Goodness I love these tokens! I’ve put all my players on to this now.
The only thing I’d love to see is a search or filter tool to better and faster find the token I’m looking for. Is this on the cards at any point?
Please keep up the awesome work!
Indeed it is! Our patrons are currently bug testing it and we hope to release it soon. 🙂
I love your tokens. Would it be possible to include an option to put them within a circle or frame?
It’s on our to-do list, in fact!
