The Rock Garden & Tea House
A battle map combo inspired by the brilliant colors of Japan in autumn, featuring a rock garden and tea house.
The golden leaves might look like something out of a Feywild adventure, but they’re actually based on something much closer to home: the beautiful Ginkgo tree.
That said, this map would make an excellent location for a Feywild portal, with its autumnal colors spilling out into the regular world. And what manner of guardians or beasts might be protecting it? I look forward to hearing about the encounters that take place on this map!
Also bundled with the rock garden is the little Chashitsu tea house, compatible with plenty of other maps besides this one. It’s an ideal place to share secrets or make shrewd deals with important folk. Perhaps its hanging Kakejiku scroll fills the room with a Zone of Truth, or magically soundproofs the paper walls?
If starting fights in a 3×3″ arena is your thing, it’s also good for that!
The Patreon-exclusive variant for this map is a more down to earth, frosty place with the ginkgo trees exchanged for evergreens. Perhaps it’s a secret meeting place at the peak of a mountain, or a Stonehenge-esque anomaly to be stumbled upon in the woods?
These 2-Minute Maps come with several grid and color options (even more than pictured above) with printable PDFs and virtual table top JPGs all included. If you are a supporter on Patreon (thank you!) you can download your exclusive frosty variant here.
