Though the arena has existed for longer than records can tell, it has recently become the base of operations for the powerful Grey Banner mercenaries.

Greybanner City Map

The mercenaries of Greybanner fight, naturally, for the King with the most gold. However, when they’re not fighting, they settle down in their city of the same name. Here, their war-hungry souls are kept well-fed in the great arena at the settlement’s center. This is their method for earning a living, settling disputes, and even electing their leaders.

Alternatively, you might call the arena a theater instead, or perhaps it’s the opening to a certain yawning portal? Please, share your own ideas in the comments!

This is my commentary on how I color my battle maps using Gimp, a free alternative to Photoshop. I focus mostly on the ever-important skill of layer management, and ramble a little about color theory too.
